SUMMARY:Sterile Neutrino Dark Matter with Supersymmetry\, Theory Semin
ar (High Energy/Cosmology)\, Bibhushan Shakya\, University of Cincinna
 ti/University of Michigan
DESCRIPTION:Sterile neutrino dark matter\, which remains a popular alt
ernative to the WIMP paradigm\, has generally been studied in non-supe
rsymmetric setups. In this talk\, we investigate dark matter propertie
s of the sterile neutrino within an underlying theory that is supersym
metric\, which demonstrates several interesting and novel features suc
h as multiple populations from multiple production mechanisms and sign
ificant contributions to the effective number of relativistic degrees
of freedom. We will also discuss how dark matter considerations can sh
ed light on the nature of the underlying theory.
