SUMMARY:Unlocking the mysteries of the Universe with the CMS experimen
t at the Large Hadron Collider\, Physics Department Colloquium\, Tulik
 a Bose\, Boston University
DESCRIPTION:The discovery of the Higgs Boson at the Large Hadron Colli
der (LHC) in 2012 was a ground-breaking event in particle physics hist
ory. The LHC has restarted recently at an unprecedented center of mass
energy of about 13 TeV and the data collected by the CMS experiment i
s expected to help fully understand the nature of electroweak symmetry
breaking and potentially discover new physics. In this talk\, I will
review recent results from the CMS experiment with special focus on se
arches for physics beyond the Standard Model.
