SUMMARY:Quantum current dissipation in superconducting strings\, Theor
y Seminar (High Energy/Cosmology)\, Yoshihiko Abe\, UW Madison
DESCRIPTION:We discuss the current stability of a cosmic string with t
 he bosonic superconductivity.
\nA non-vanishing curvature of the strin
g generally induce the instability of the current-carrying particle.
\
nWe explore the decay rates for various types of model parameters\, cu
rved string shapes\, and decay processes.
\nAs a cosmological applicat
ion\, the stability is examined for superconducting strings in the str
ing network and also for cosmic vortons by evaluating their cosmologic
 al evolution.
\nThis work is based on the collaboration with Yu Hamada
 \, Kota Saji\, and Koichi Yoshioka\, arXiv:2209.03223 [hep-ph].
