SUMMARY:Finding the neutrino mass mechanism at muon colliders \, Netwo
rk in Neutrinos\, Nuclear Astrophysics\, and Symmetries (N3AS) Seminar
\, Kåre Fridell \, KEK\, Tsukuba
DESCRIPTION:In this talk I will show how neutrino mass mechanisms may
be probed in
\nfuture muon colliders\, with special emphasis on the
 proposed μTRISTAN
\nexperiment. If neutrinos are Majorana particl
es\, they may lead to
\ncharged lepton flavor violating processes t
hat would constitute clear
\nevidence for New Physics in the lepton
 sector. Using an effective field
\ntheory framework\, we then comp
are the potential discovery reach with
\nexisting limits from rare
lepton decays\, finding that muon colliders are
\nthe most sensitiv
e probe of charged lepton flavor violation for a range
\nof paramet
ers. As a model example\, we then consider the type-ii seesaw
\nmod
el\, and show how a muon collider could be used to constrain the CP-\nviolating phases of the corresponding PMNS matrix.
\n
