SUMMARY:Telescope Array and the Dawn Goddess of the North\, Physics De
partment Colloquium\, Doug Bergman\, University of Utah
DESCRIPTION:I will begin by presenting the highest energy cosmic ray e
vent to be seen in the last 30 years: Amaterasu. I will attempt to rel
ay the intellectual satisfaction to be felt in analyzing great data fr
om a great instrument. I will then move on to discuss evidence for the
ultra high energy cosmic ray spectrum being different in the North th
an it is in the South. This may explain why the highest energy cosmic
rays have  been observed in Utah.
