SUMMARY:High-Energy Neutrinos: A New Trail Towards New Physics\, Netwo
rk in Neutrinos\, Nuclear Astrophysics\, and Symmetries (N3AS) Seminar
\, Carlos Arguelles Delgado \, Harvard University
DESCRIPTION:The observation of high-energy astrophysical neutrinos by
the IceCube Neutrino Observatory has opened up a new window to the uni
verse. These neutrinos traverse the longest distances from their sourc
es and have the largest energy ever observed. These neutrinos open a n
ew trail to search for new physics that covers parameter space not acc
essible to terrestrial neutrino experiments. In this Seminar\, I will
explain the inner workings of the IceCube neutrino observatory\, discu
ss the latest measurements of high-energy astrophysical neutrinos\, an
d provide examples of new physics searches with these neutrinos. <br>\
